At the age of 14, my brother was put into a hospital for the elderly and told he might never walk again due to a back injury. However chiropractic care gave him hope and he eventually regained his health.
In 1970 I moved to Iowa, USA, to study chiropractic at the Palmer College of Chiropractic which was a life-changing experience.
Two of my children became chiropractors, as well as two of my nephews. A misfortune in life for one person has led to several people having the opportunity to make a real difference to the health of others.
I practiced for a few years in Porirua before establishing a practice in Johnsonville in 1978. My son David joined me in 2003 in our new practice right next door to the old practice.
These 49 years in chiropractic has been incredibly rewarding as I have loved helping people and seeing changes that the body can make when nerve interference is reduced and the body is allowed to heal.
Personally I am grateful for a large and supportive family who share my interest in the arts, photography, basketball, cricket, golf, chiropractic and travel.
