Dr Mari-lize Venter, Chiropractor, Upper Hutt

In my last few years at high school I played competitive beach volleyball. I struggled with a shoulder injury for a season and saw a chiropractor at one of the events. I had no idea what chiropractors did and at the time I was still a bit confused with where I wanted to go in terms of a career. The Chiropractor explained the objective of chiropractic and everything made sense to me. Soon after I decided to pursue this thing called chiropractic and moved to Auckland to start my studies.

During the 5 years of study I absorbed as much as I could and embraced the wonders that this profession has to offer. After graduating in November 2018, I moved down to the Hutt Valley and started work at The Chiro Upper Hutt. In 2021 I started working at The Chiro Lower Hutt as well.

I love the physical and interactive aspects of my job, every day is different and super rewarding. I love seeing the changes that having a well-functioning body can make to people’s lives. And I love seeing people do things that they did not know they were capable of.

Other than Chiropractic, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, running and going to the gym.
